Established in 1992 through the combined effort of development professionals and individuals wanting to get involved in international solidarity or humanitarian aid initiatives, ESSOR is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that carries out development projects in Portuguese-speaking and French-speaking countries, particularly Brazil, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Chad.
ESSOR has 11 employees based in France and 12 based in partner countries.
In legal terms, ESSOR is governed by the law of 1901. It is under the responsibility of a Board of Directors which meets three times per year.
ESSOR also has the support of about twenty volunteers who greatly contribute to actions in France (development education / sensibilizations, greeting cards, events ...).
